Hello World!

Hello Wedding World!

What an exciting moment this is for Stile Divino Travel to partner up with Kairòs' Wedding Planner Monia Re to offer brides and grooms such a memorable Italian experience. I feel honored to be a part of this young and dynamic group of women where I will be speaking to the international audience out there and letting you know what's going on in our neck of the woods.

About me

What better way to start off in the business of Event and Wedding Planning than having gone through the process personally 2 months ago! I just got married to an Italian, a Piemontese, in my little town where I live called Saluzzo. The very first decision of choosing the location was quite a toss up because you see I am also from the beautiful Napa Valley in California where people dream about having their weddings. Well..I chose to have mine here...and have a somewhat destination wedding for my guests and have them experience this incredible little gem of a location.

Planning is always a neverending process and was probably the deciding factor for me in finalizing the location. (Along with the fact that my husband's mother WOULD NOT GET ON AN AIRPLANE!) However, if you can not be here in Italy to plan your wedding, this country, full of surprises will throw you for a loop. You need a lot of patience. It was difficult enough for me being here to organize it therefore I highly recommend having an on-site wedding planner at your destination. You brides have enough stress.

Location

I loved the location of Piedmont because first of all I am a foodie and a wine lover. If these are your passions then this is the place for you. It is still hiding in the shadow of the touristy buzz of let's say Tuscany or Puglia but that's exactly what makes Piemonte and the langhe region special. It's authenticity and pure beauty and not to mention its famous "Big Red" wines of Barolo and Barbaresco.

I would like to use this blog as
  • an educational tool about this area- to spark an interest in Piemonte, Langhe, Alba, etc.
  • use it as a drawing board for ideas as well as to exchange ideas with others in the business
  • talk about the new trends and what's going on in Italy
  • give advice and communicate with your comments on my posts
Until the next post...alla prossima!
